Although clearly a violation this is an attempt to escape through the UK law, which permits advertising of follow-on milks. Also contains a ‘careline’ number and website encouraging direct contact. The website includes infant formula.

    A Croatian mother spotted advertisements for Hipp and Vivera infant and follow-up formulas in a paediatric clinic in Casa de Salute Labin, Croatia. The Code prohibits promotion of products which interfere with breastfeeding in healthcare facilities!
An American mom spotted several cans of Nestlé's Good Start formula featured prominently in a scene from popular daytime soap All My Children. The labels were turned towards the camera so viewers couldn't miss them. Such gimmicks, called product placement, have the same effect as advertising. As this soap is very popular with new mothers, Nestlé's intentions are pretty obvious.

This is an advert in a magazine ‘Wij Jonge Ouders’ for a free subscription to the magazine (if you are pregnant or have a child under 1 year) and two free gift boxes.The advert (babydoos.jpg) refers to a website (www.babyinfo.nl) , which contains prominent adverts for Nutricia. This company produces Nutrilon formula and follow-on milks. Representative contents of the boxes are given on the company’s website (http://www.babyinfo.nl/wijjongeouders/deblijedoos.asp). I have copied the files to you. The joyful box (inhoud_blije_doos.jpg) contains a dummy and bottle nipple from the company bibi (www.bibi.nl), a little box for keeping milk powder in and a sample of Nutrilon follow-on milk. There is also something with Nutricia’s logo, but I cannot see what. The baby box (inhoud_baby_doos.jpg) contains a spoon and bib with Nutricia’s logo, a little bottle of fruit juice and a pot of food.

Paediatric congress prohibited a breastfeeding group to participate because the sponsor of the meeting — Nestlé — did not want to promote breastfeeding there. The printed programme of the congress also features a full page ad of Nestle's infant formula. Advertising of infant formula is prohibited by the Code.

This ad in the Congress program is definitely not "factual and scientific" as required by the Code.
