Company name:
Glico group, Icreo
Brand name:
ICREO
Type of product:
Infant Formula
Description:
Found on the internet,
http://www.icreo.co.jp/product/balance.html this milk is called “ICREO
breastmilk balance milk; the milk that babies choose”. It mentions in
several places on the webpage that this milk is “Close to breastmilk” or
“just like breast milk” so “mothers can be reassured” and “mothers should
have confidence when giving this milk to their babies”, but the worst
thing is the name/label of the product includes the words breastmilk
balance.
The product label claims that it
is the "milk babies choose". There are several comparisons to breastmilk:
"close to breastmilk", "just like breastmilk" and "breastmilk balance".

Company name:
Hipp
Brand name:
Hipp
Organic Apple and Plum Pudding, Hipp Banana and Peach Dessert
Type of product:
Complementary Foods
Description:
Labels for Hipp complementary foods
The label is prominently labeled ‘From about 4 months’ in breach of
Resolution 47.5 (adopted in 1994) which called for complementary feeding
to be fostered from about 6 months. Small print states: “Consult your
health visitor. The Dept. of Health recommends exclusive breastfeeding for
the first six months”. In fact the Dept. of Health also clearly states:
“Six months is the recommended age to introduce solid foods for all normal
healthy infants” drawing no distinction between breastfed and
artificially-fed infants (Ref: Infant Feeding Recommendation 2003,
