World Breastfeeding Week Around the World: Indonesia          World Breastfeeding Week in other countries

CHURCH WORLD SERVICE INDONESIA
Founded in 1946, Church World Service is the relief, development, and refugee assistance ministry of 35 Protestant, Orthodox, and Anglican denominations.
Working in partnership with local organizations in Indonesia since the late 1960s, CWS Indonesia's priority has always been to meet the needs of the most vulnerable. In collaboration with the Ministry of Social Welfare of the Republic of Indonesia as well as various regional and local government agencies, and in partnership with Indonesian NGOs and CBOs, CWS provides humanitarian assistance to victims of natural disasters and conflicts (internally displaced people and refugees), supports sustainable development, and helps address the root causes of poverty. Priority areas are promotion of improved child nutrition, improved access to water and sanitation, and strengthening civil society in Indonesia.

CWS Indonesia and WBW:

CWS Indonesia has been at the forefront with its Health and Nutrition program, focusing on urban and rural poverty areas that struggle with food, nutrition, and health security, as a result of low informal safety, low income, and greater labor force participation of women and its consequences for children care.

As a part of the Health and Nutrition program, CWS finds it important to provide information about breastfeeding to its community, since it is the healthiest option for every woman and her baby.

In participating the World Breastfeeding Week, CWS Indonesia will be held various activities in several cities such as Jakarta, Soe, Banda Aceh, Meulaboh, Nias, and Yogyakarta.
