Action Plan
Seminar : MPP will organize an Seminar highlighting the theme of the this year's WBW. Social workers, Community leaders, Religious and faith leaders, women members of local government will be present in the seminar. There would be an open discussion in the later part of the seminar to generate new and innovative ideas and thoughts for the protection and promotion of breastfeeding focusing mother-support in all spheres of life.A prescribed Commitment letter would be provided to the participants and they will pledge for mother support in their respective surroundings and community
Peer workshop of MSGs : In the community Mother Support Groups will sit together in a suitable date of the week (1-7 August) to make out more easy and effective ideas for mother support in course of breastfeeding; also they will way out the support-pattern of Pregnant women confirming antenatal counseling. They will discuss in a peer and after the end of the day necessary suggestions will be caught up.
Media campaign: I have set few programs with The Radio Bangladesh (Government Radio) to mark the WBW'08.Alrady, one of my talks on the theme has been aired on 18 July 8.30 am(local time).A panel discussion will be held on 29 th July which be aired on the opening day of the week. Also I have taken interview from 10 persons from different quarters on breastfeeding support. This will be aired from during whole week at night program. We have sent the WABA press release to the National dailies and electronic media to publish/telecast.
Rally : MPP will participate in rally on 1 August to mark the week .card, festoon, poster will be displayed in the rally.
Sticker on the vehicle: MPP have launched a program to stick a adhesive sticker on the theme of WBW'08 on the body of the vehicles plying I n and around the capital city. This will attract the passer-by as well as the other public beside the road. The aim of this advocacy program is to sensitize the public so that they look into the matter and feel interested in it. The bus and coaches which ply in the inter-districts will also be covered in this activity
Essay competition : MPP will be arranging essay competition on the theme of the WBW'08 with girl students of a local Home Economics College. The participants already completed their essay writing and are submitting the papers to the college authority. he jury board has been formed to select the golden girls who will be qualified for the 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd position in this unique contest.
